Rug doctor for carpet cleaning - is it any good?

I have a man coming out to clean my carpets on Friday he said he uses a rug doctor and I can't beleive how cheap his quote was he only wants £15 to clean a 4x6 carpet. Is this any good for cleaning carpets? Or am I wasting my time? The carpet is in not bad conditon and has a few light marks from my dogs coming in and out. Thanks.
